I have been watching YouTube for about nine years now. I like to follow inspiring positive people. In the nine years I have been watching YouTube, I have never met a YouTuber so genuine, inspiring and positive. I have never met someone that interacts with their fans as much as Shuan and The Spacestation. I mean I love all my YouTube channels and people, but they do not come close. Period. This is different. This is real and this is powerful.
I consider myself to be a loyal person. When I subscribe to a YouTube channel, I like to follow users on every social site. I never leave. I never un-subscribe. I am never negative. I support you and I will always be there.
I pay for DirectTV, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and HBO. How often do I find myself watching them? None. for months now. I watch YouTube all the time. I have my YouTube channels I follow, for me they are enough to keep me entertained. They beat out the big guys.
I watch different YouTube channels for different reasons. YouTube is my living room for Entertainment and my classroom for learning. I always said it is important to learn how to learn. YouTube is a tool. I get to pick my instructors, I get to pick what I want to learn today. YouTube is that powerful that I don't need to pay for service from "the professionals".
For years I always stayed quiet in comments, it never really interest me to comment or try to reach out. That changed… about 6 months ago. Just like music, I love to share what I listen to. I love to see what others listen to. Today I am going to share who I watch... Enjoy!
Where it all started
So as a photographer, I watch a lot of Photography videos. I love to go over material I already know. I love learning from different point of views.
I follow Peter McKinnon, another cool guy. I remember a video where some short hyper guy in a beanie kept running circles and taking over the camera. I thought to myself who is this guy? And why is he so hyper and happy? And how I found most of my YouTube channels… I looked him up. I was looking for his Vlogs and couldn’t find any, then I bumped into a playlist called Best Days Ever.
The very first video I saw was called Weird New Robot Feet In this video, you will find a Hyper Shuan, Peter and Holladay at B&H in New York. I had no clue who Shuan or Holladay were or what they did. I remember Shuan making a comment about Tall Chicken losing his job, I thought to myself...Whats a Tall Chicken?
The second video I saw which introduced me to the rest of the gang was Hoverboard Rodeo!! This video made me lose my mind. I was intrigued with who these people were. They all clicked so well, they were funny, everything was so natural and genuine. It was literally friends hanging out and having fun. It didn't feel like other YouTube videos, scripted and setup. This was different, I also discovered who Tall Chicken was. That guy is a hoot.
The Shonduras Effect
Shaun McBride, Man oh man is this guy cool. The love that comes out of him. The inspiration, the positive energy that hits you.
An awesome father and husband. Someone I hope to be one day. Shaun really takes you on a journey, he lets you into his life. He shows you how important friends and family are. He is what Youtube should be.
Every one of his friends and family are good people. They are all good pieces to a great puzzle. They all add their uniqueness. When one is missing. You notice it.
Also...can you believe me and this guy share the same Birthday and are also expecting a baby around the same date?!?!?! Crazy huh.. Crazy cool that is.
Another astronaut who stood out to me was Holladay. I remember him when I first started watching the earlier Best Days Ever.
I noticed Holladay because he was the only one with a MacBook. Anyone who knows me, I love Apple. Heck, I even work for them.
You have to have that click with another Apple user when you are in a room full of Windows. We stick together. You gots too. This guy is smart. He cofounded an app called Crowdmics, a genius idea. I can see what Shaun saw in him, He is a business man. Again, anyone who knows me, I love business. My favorite Holladay moment was when he lost his AirPods. Man o man, I felt the pain. He was spooked.
When I first saw Brandon, I was like whoa this guy is Metal. He looked like a Viking biker Metal head. Someone you would not want to mess with. The more I watched Best Day Ever, I later discovered I was wrong. Brandon is the nicest most gentle person ever. He edits Best Days Ever. Super talented and super smart.

Not to get weird or mushy. They all mean a lot to me. Each and every one of them. I consider them friends. What you have is special. Never change and never stop. I will always support you.
